Kate Evanson

Edge of Care Practitioner

Since:

I have over 18 years of experience in supporting children and young people across education, supported accommodation, and social care settings. I hold a First-Class-Honours degree in Childhood Studies and a Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education

I specialise in working with 16–18-year-olds with complex needs, supporting their transition to independence through a person-centred, trauma-informed approach. My work focuses on building trust, confidence, and resilience, while developing key life skills such as budgeting, personal care, and relationship management.

As a qualified teacher, I provide tailored educational support to meet diverse needs. I also work collaboratively with professionals, including social workers, mental health teams, and housing services, to achieve positive outcomes.

I am passionate about empowering young people to build confidence, develop self-advocacy skills, and live independently.
